I get a huge kick out of peoplewatching. I think everyone does, really. It’s fascinating to imagine what’s going through their minds–why they’re in the same place as me today–where they’re going–where they came from–what they’re going to do when they get home and why they’re going to do it–who they know–et cetera et cetera et cetera.

there is something of that feel in this image… in the emotional disengagement of the figure… and (whether intentional or not) in the balancing of the detached figure on the right with the empty landscape/sky on the left…
that… and the directional light in the image… which gives it a lit-by-design feel…
