fungus 13

This is for all you fungus-lovers out there. :D

Well, the different sizes and shapes and textures of fungi never cease to fascinate ME. Surely you feel the same way. ;)

another fungus!

As you may guess from the numbering in the title, I’ve posted a lot of fungi. But none recently! So here is some fungus for you to ogle!

mushroom vs. grass

GUESS WHAT!!!

Monmouth County Daily Photo is ONE YEAR OLD today!

My first ever post was a fungus; I’ve posted several more fungi since then, but I thought today would be an appropriate occasion to come full circle!

Woooooo!

…plus, the next few days will be full of depressing rain/ice storm photos… there’s apparently a Nor’easter headed through this area. So enjoy a sunny grassy photo for the time being. :)

It rolled in the garden and under a bush, and then my poor meatball was nothing but mush!

As I was walking along, I saw an old hollow tree stump.

And something in the tree stump caught my eye.

It was fungus #10!

I like fungi.

nibbled!

Who nibbled on this mushroom?!

umbrellas

Overcast/drizzly for the fourth day in a row. The fungi are loving it.

These are tiny umbrella-like mushrooms growing out of the side of a tree.

Another fungus? So soon?
