According to Wikipedia, “in recent years, the sale of spinning barber poles has dropped considerably, both because very few new barber shops are opening and many jurisdictions prohibit moving signs of any kinds as unsightly or visually disrupting.” So I guess we’re lucky to have one in Matawan. 🙂
